Robert went to Alaska from his home state of Washington in the late 1930s and early 40s to fish commercially for salmon in Bristol Bay (Naknek). He and Bernadine were married and Lived in Nelson Lagoon Alaska, Lake Clark Alaska, Anchorage Alaska , then a short time in Ellensburg, Washington, and finally moved permanently to Naknek, Alaska, where they owned and operated a bar hotel liquor store and movie theater. The bar still exists today.
Born in Seattle Washington.
Heart failure, died in his sleep at my sisters home in Washington.
Dad was creamated, his ash's scattered from an airplane over
Naknek, by the four surviving children.

She disliked the name Erma and used Bernie or Bern all her life.Was born in Yakima area lived most her life there until married, she was next to youngest child.Mom died during
a heart operation for heart valve problems. She had several previous surgeries. She had a staph infection when they reoperated the final time, but could not wait to clear it up,
due to seriousness of the problem Moms ashes also spread over Naknek from an airplane by the
four surviving children.
